My Three E’s
My Resume
My program teacher had all of us practice filling out an application and taught us the correct way to apply to jobs.
Enlistment
In the summer of 2018, I made the decision to want to serve our country. I have been working very hard physically and emotionally to push myself to make this a goal. With all of my hard work and time , I will be enlisting as soon as I make weight to join the Ohio National Guard as a Military Police (MP). In this picture, I have my recruiter Sergeant Troy Brown, a friend who is currently active in the Guard, and myself.
Enrollment-Acceptance into College
After all of the hard work I’ve been doing the past 12 years, it finally paid off. I’m officially a proud YSU Penguin!
Employment
I started working at Buffalo Wild Wings two years ago and started as a line cook. About six months later, my boss promoted me to be cross trained as a greeter, and I went through a four hour course to become a certified trainer. In the last picture, that was our Halloween party. Buffalo Wild Wings was a great first place to work at with fun coworkers. In December, I wanted to work with people because I have a great personality and communication skills, so I applied at IHOP and got the job as a waitress. Working here has let me out of my shell, and I have acquired many skills with working with the public directly. The middle picture shows a note a little girl wrote me a few weeks ago. Little things like this is what keeps me going.
Certifications
In order to get my CDA hours in Early Childhood, I had to find a public place to intern at. I chose to intern at my church, The Movement. My responsibilities were to teach my class of 16 children all by myself. I teach the children while also maintaining a clean, safe, and happy environment.
Competition
Junior Year
My Junior year of competition in 2018 was really fun. It was my first expierience going to Columbus Ohio with other Educators Rising members. I created a Pre-K to 3rd grade children’s book by myself, and I had to present it in front of three judges.
Senior Year
In 2019, I went to competition in Columbus Ohio and signed a “Pledge or Commitment” document for the Ohio Education Association(OEA), stating “ I plan to make a difference in myself, my community and Ohio by exploring a career and education”, and sighted it on February 28th, 2019.
Church
I am part of a non-denominational church called The Movement. I have been going here for almost two years now, and it has changed my life in so many different ways. We do a lot of community service to give back to the world. In this slideshow, most of these pictures are from our Mission’s Trip over the summer of 2018. We went to LA ,California to help the homeless on Skid Row, explore their church, and pass out food from our food truck in a few towns. I also had the opportunity to spend an evening with the children that live in Compton. We were at the park, and my job was to just play with then, and make sure they had a great time. I passed out candy and games to play. I had a few deep conversations with a few children, and we all prayed together at the end for God to heal what they were going through. We impacted a lot of lives, and the people I met there impacted my life. They made me realize how fortunate I am in my life, and that there are people all over the world that need prayer.
